SAAS Sales Manager

Role Summary: 

Management of SAAS customer/prospects through sales pipeline to successful commercial execution

Background:

High performance robotic and consumer electronics solutions are no longer limited to factories and warehouses, but are becoming common in environments such as homes, streets, hospitals and hotels. Autonomous robots/products need to operate in ever more dynamic environments and need an ability to locate themselves, map their surroundings and understand the objects and people around them.   Real-time spatial understanding is essential for reliable operation and intelligent behaviour. SLAMcore software provides the three levels of spatial understanding required for robust, reliable autonomy: localisation (position), mapping (map) and semantics (perceive) - all running on cost-effective compute and cameras and able to work immediately.

SLAMcore is a London-based startup founded by visual SLAM algorithm pioneers and experts. With significant VC funding from top investors around the world, we have developed breakthrough visual spatial software solutions for next generation robots and consumer electronics harnessing computer vision, sensor fusion and machine learning. At SLAMcore we are developing advanced software solutions that provide real-time location, mapping and perception reducing time-to-market for companies wanting to add advanced autonomy to their autonomous robot and consumer electronics products. 

Our vision for this role:

SLAMcore has already a large number of prospects for our online SAAS software solution for spatial understanding.  The SAAS sales manager will be responsible for managing the entire SAAS sales business & process working directly with the chief commercial officer.  You will gain a deep understanding of our customers’ needs and apply your analytical and communication skills to create actionable and prioritised sales process and execution to maximise the value of this business.    You will be responsible for all aspects of this online SAAS business.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage SAAS sales business & process - working with Head of Sales
  • Handle sales process from prospecting through to close of process.
  • Qualify prospects based on requirements and potential value
  • Build and maintain (online) relationships with prospects & opportunities
  • Conduct customer calls/meetings with prospective and existing high-value clients 
  • Qualify prospects as per sales plan, budget and decision making.
  • Tailor & sell products and services to qualified clients through online process, material, demos and sales calls.
  • Build and document sales activities in company CRM (Hubspot) and documents.
  • Speak at Tradeshows and conferences and represent the company professionally.
  • Prepare and engage in sales team status meetings.
  • Engage in educational meetings on product development and updates.
  • Coordinate with the management team to enhance sales materials & presentation.
  • Meet productivity metrics as per management team’s directions.
  • Handle customer SDK signup, process, presentation, queries, quotes, RFIs and RFPs where necessary.
  • Run demos for prospects, develop presentations and adapt sales collateral.
  • Run live and web based presentations.

Duties:

  • Lead and run SAAS sales business & process 
  • Maintain online tools to track sales progress (Hubspot/CRM etc)
  • Attend sales meetings and meeting clients/prospects
  • Determining clients' business requirements and qualify and tailor suitable products
  • Decide solution needs adapting to meet the clients' needs and work with engineering on execution
  • Answer commercial and high level technical questions from prospects/clients
  • Present your findings to a technical team to act on, and then to the client
  • Post-sales you may also be responsible for areas like implementation, training and aftercare support

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years experience of SAAS/technical sales experience
  • Proven ability of successfully selling software to SMB/enterprises
  • Technical understanding of software

Bonus points if you have:

  • Understanding of autonomous robotics, OEM and/or consumer electronics markets
  • Deep experience with online SAAS sales to businesses
  • Autonomy and hands-on experience
  • Able to work in a fast-moving, dynamic environment with some levels of uncertainty
  • BSc in computer science, electronic engineering or similar
