Who are we?:

SLAMcore is a London-based startup founded by visual SLAM algorithm pioneers and specialists. We are developing breakthrough solutions for the next generation of spatially aware devices by harnessing sensor fusion and the latest advancements in cameras and processors. Our target sectors include commercial drones and wheeled robots.


Our vision for the role:

With significant funding secured from investors around the world, we are looking for extraordinary computer vision, robotics and computer graphics software engineers with both sound theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.

Computer vision for robotics is at the heart of what we do and we are looking for talented individuals to join our business and help drive us forward. Real-time performance is important so your solutions will be expressed in high-quality C++ code with the potential for significant optimisation. You will work closely with the founding team to push forwards the fundamental structure and design of SLAMcore's technology delivering state-of-the-art solutions for a wide variety of real-world, robotic applications. This is a phenomenal opportunity to join us at an early stage and help shape both our core technology and the business as it grows.

How would you help?:

  • You would develop high-performance software in the area of embedded computer vision and robotics
  • Implement new, sophisticated computer vision algorithms on computationally limited platforms
  • Working closely with our engineering team to deliver robust and efficient solutions

The strings to your bow:

  • Engineering degree with computer vision, computer graphics, electrical engineering, mathematics or robotics background
  • Relevant Industrial experience with examples of specific projects
  • Gifted with very good mathematical and analytical skills
  • Highly passionate and gifted with C++ and software engineering
  • Experience with meaningful open-source libraries e.g. OpenCV, Eigen, Ceres is a plus
  • Experience with robotics, drones, AR/VR or computer graphics would be a plus
